Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter and captain, Rashid Latif, said that bowlers across the world have found out Virat Kohli’s weaknesses, thanks to data analysts, but he hasn’t worked on his weaknesses and is now paying for it.

Kohli hasn’t scored an international century since November 2019 and now things have become worse as he has not been able to score more than 20 runs in any innings on the tour of England. Many cricket greats have been suggesting him to work on his technique, while a few are saying it’s all about mentality, while others are advising him to take a break to find out what’s wrong with his batting.

Well, Latif feels the oppositions have found Kohli’s weakness, but the Indian star might have not yet realized his weakness, and that’s why things are becoming difficult for him, while saying the latter is similar to Pakistan legend Javed Miandad as both don't rely too much on data.

Rashid Latif said on his official YouTube channel: “Cricket, as a game, has become smarter with the arrival of data analysts. When Virat made his international debut, such things had just begun to arrive in the game. Not many people actually believed in it strongly.”

He further said, “A big player like Javed Miandad had said that computers cannot help in cricket. I think Virat Kohli is very similar to Javed Miandad in that way.”

Latif concluded, “When your days are good, you won't realize that bowlers are working out on finding your weakness. In modern-day cricket, things have changed. Everyone is finding out the batter's weakness. Babar, Rizwan, Virat... everyone has some weakness or the other. But they haven't changed their game.”
