‘My better half’: Lalit Modi announces new beginning with Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen

Lalit Modi and Sushmita Sen | TwitterFormer IPL chairman Lalit Modi on Thursday (July 14) took the internet by storm, revealing that he is dating Bollywood actor Sushmita Sen.

The 56-year-old took to Twitter and shared a series of pictures with Sushmita, calling the actress his ‘better half’ and describing it as a ‘new beginning’.

"Just back in London after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon," Modi wrote in the caption.

The ex-IPL boss also clarified that the two haven’t tied the knot and 'just dating'.

"Just for clarity. Not married - just dating each other. That too it will happen one day," he further wrote.

Lalit Modi was a key figure in running the IPL from 2008 to 2010. He fled from India to seek asylum in the United Kingdom in 2010 amid investigations into tax evasion and money-laundering.

On the other hand, Sushmita Sen was crowned Miss Universe in 1994. She made her debut in Bollywood with the 1996 film Dastak and starred in hit movies such as Biwi No 1, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Main Hoon Na among others.
