Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal is in the news again, but for rather unfortunate reasons, as his sacrificial animal, a goat, worth Pakistan rupees 90,000 has been stolen days before Eid-Al-Adha. The incident took place at his housing society in Lahore.

According to a report, the wicketkeeper-batter's father claimed to have bought six goats for the sacrifice. The animals were kept outside the home and a househelp was given the responsibility to look after the goats.

Kamran's father said one of the goats was stolen around 3 AM in the night when the servant had fallen asleep. According to him, the goat was the best one they had and it was bought for Rs 90,000. “The thieves have taken away the best of them which was bought at the price of Rs 90,000," Kamran’s father was quoted as saying by The News International.

The report further said that the management of the housing society has promised that they will try to find the thieves and recover the animal as well.
