England head coach Brendon McCullum has called Bazball a ‘silly term’, while also reacting to Steve Smith’s remarks of ‘whether it is going to be the same’ when the likes Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc are running in to bowl at the batters.
England’s Bazball concept has taken the World by storm. Under the leadership of Ben Stokes and coach McCullum, they have looked a completely different side as they have adopted a fearless approach and instead of being conservative, which they followed earlier, they are going for the kill.
After England whitewashed New Zealand 3-0 in the Test series, they pounded India by 7 wickets to win the rescheduled match. In all the four matches, the Stokes-led side chased more than 270 runs, and also registered their highest chase when they successfully achieved the target of 378 runs against India.

Ever since Stokes took over the captaincy, England have looked a completely different side on the field as they have played an attacking brand of cricket and made many applaud them for their heroics.
In their last four matches whenever it seemed England is in trouble, someone chipped in and bailed the side out of the trouble with an counter-attacking innings.
Speaking to Adam Gilchrist on SEN WA Breakfast, Brendon McCullum admitted that he doesn’t have any idea what ‘Bazball’ is but he’s happy with the performance his side has put on. He said that they will maintain that positive approach.

“No, I don't have any idea what Bazball is, having a bit of a go, but the boys have been fantastic, couldn't have asked for a better start really. I'm sure that our guys will try and still maintain a really positive approach. I think the real key is not just the crash and burn if we look at the approach of how the guys have done it.
“That's why I don't really like that silly term that people are throwing out there, because there's actually quite a bit of thought that goes into how the guys manufacture their performances and when they put pressure on bowlers and which bowlers, they put pressure on. There's also times where they've absorbed pressure beautifully as well," McCullum said.
Recently Australian batter Steve Smith talked about England’s 'Bazball' concept. He also questioned whether it is going to be the same when the Three Lions face the likes of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc.

Reacting to Smith’s comments, McCullum said that it’s going to be challenging facing Australian bowlers.
“I saw those (comments) flick up on one of the feeds somewhere. It's quite right, it is going to be a big challenge when we take on Australia. It's going to challenge our method and it's going to challenge what we're capable of achieving and that's pretty exciting I reckon. Isn't that what the game's all about? Is to sort of reinvigorate yourself and then be confronted against the very best," he said.
McCullum said that although, India and New Zealand are also very good sides, but playing against Australia brings different challenge because of the rivalry that exists.
“I do believe that both New Zealand and India are two very, very good cricket sides as well. Australia is a different kind of challenge because of the history of the Ashes and the rivalry which exists there," he said.
