Earlier this month, India batter KL Rahul suffered a groin injury which ruled him out of the South Africa T20I series at home and the England tour.
In order to treat his injury, Rahul recently travelled to Germany and underwent successful surgery for sports hernia.
According to a PTI report, the right-hander is likely to be out of competitive cricket for another couple of months.

The report further claims that Rahul will check in at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) upon his return to India. His rehabilitation would be monitored by the NCA Sports Science team headed by Dr Nitin Patel.
"He will be resting for a few days and then his physical rehabilitation will start at the NCA. That will take a few weeks before he starts with his regular net session and let's see if he can make a comeback in the Asia Cup. But that could be a touch and go," a BCCI source privy to developments told PTI.
Notably, KL Rahul was supposed to lead the Indian cricket team in the five-T20I series against South Africa. However, he picked up the injury on the eve of the first game, which led to selectors handing the captaincy duties to Rishabh Pant.
Rahul was also picked in India’s Test squad for the rescheduled fifth Test against England at Edgbaston, slated to begin on July 1.
Since his international debut in December 2014, Rahul has played 43 Tests, 42 ODIs, and 56 T20Is for India.
