English batter Joe Root is in the red hot form and is at the peak of his career. Of late, he has been reaching various milestones and breaking records for fun. 

Root smashed a masterful century in the first Test against New Zealand at Lord’s and took his team home. Apart from this, he also became only the second English batter after Sir Alastair Cook to cross the 10,000 run-mark in Tests. 

His rich vein of form continued even in the ongoing second Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge as he smashed yet another ton to take his side into a comfortable position. Root tonked 176 runs that helped his side reach close to the visitors' mammoth first innings score of 553.

Many witnessed Root’s masterclasses from the stands, including a few of England women's team stars. The likes of Katherine Brunt, Nat Sciver, who recently got married to each other, and Isha Guha were present. 

However, what took many by surprise was Brunt’s celebration when Root reached his 27th Test ton. The woman cricketer twerked in joy and left Guha and her partner Sciver in splits.

Coming to the second Test between England and New Zealand, after being put in to bat first, the Kiwis on account of tons by Daryl Mitchell (190) and Tom Blundell (106) posted a mammoth first innings total of 553. In reply, Root (176), Ollie Pope (145) and half-centuries by Alex Lees and Ben Foakes registered 539 runs. 

At Stumps on Day 4, New Zealand lead England by 238 runs and is 224/7. Both the teams will into Day 5 with all the three results possible.
