Australia Test captain Pat Cummins found himself in hot waters on social media after he made a joke at the expense of David Warner, sharing a photo of the opener and a security guard following him, and his vague caption led to lots of criticism.
Cummins shared a photo of Warner walking around on the ground with a guard from Sri Lanka closely following him. Cummins decided to make a joke and quipped- “David Warner and his shadow.”

But the joke got misunderstood after one of the fans on Twitter took a screengrab from the clip and others assumed Cummins' remark was on the dark-skinned individual involved.
Later, another fan posted the entire clip of what Pat Cummins meant and a sense of comprehension illuminated that the "shadow" joke was based on how the security guard had been following Warner, and not his shade.
