The ICC has cleared Pakistan's young bowler Mohammad Hasnain's bowling action, allowing him to play at all levels of cricket.
Hasnain's bowling action was deemed to be legitimate by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday, as the amount of elbow extension in the review was within the 15-degree level of tolerance allowed under the ICC Illegal Bowling Regulations.
"As such, he can now resume bowling in all forms of cricket, which includes domestic cricket worldwide," the board said.
Hasnain's bowling action was reported in February while he was playing in Australia's Big Bash League, and he later failed an ICC-supervised bowling action review test.
After receiving an official and detailed report from Cricket Australia on Hasnain's assessment test, the PCB conducted its own test, which revealed that his elbow extension for his decent-length delivery, full-length delivery, slow bouncer, and bouncer exceeded the 15-degree limitations.
However, the board stated that after Hasnain's bowling action was corrected at the National High-Performance Centre, he underwent the most recent test on May 21 at the ICC-recognised biomechanics lab in Lahore, the results of which were reported to the game's apex body and Cricket Australia.
"The test report, which has been reviewed and verified by the Cricket Australia's independent expert, had found his bowling action to be within the permitted degree," it added.
Hasnain was also forced to withdraw from the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) in January after only a few matches due to an issue with his bowling action.
