Anderson and Broad are sweating it out in the County Championship to make a comeback into the Test side.

The likes of Chris Silverwood and Graham Thorpe were sacked as coaches while senior pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad have been axed from the side.

Joe Root also resigned as Test captain following the 1-0 defeat against West Indies last month, and Ben Stokes has been appointed a new skipper in the longest format.

Meanwhile, Anderson and Broad are sweating it out in the County Championship to make a comeback into the Test side.

In this week's fixture, Lancashire locked horns with Yorkshire which witnessed the duel between Anderson and Root.

On day 4 of the game, Anderson knocked over Root with a peach of a delivery. The Yorkshire batter got beaten by a ball which moved a bit and shattered his off and middle stumps.

After the prized scalp, Anderson jumped to his classic celebration. As much as he cherished the wicket, Broad too enjoyed watching Root's stumps flying.

“Oh my reverse swing”, Broad commented on Twitter as Root got out after scoring just four runs.
