New Zealand finished the annual ICC rankings as the world No.1 ODI team after a string of impressive performances.

The rankings cover ODIs from May 2019 to May 2022, with 50% weighting for the first two years of results and 100% in the most recent 12 months.

The Kiwis are leading the chart with 125 rating points, closely followed by the current ODI World Champions England (124 rating points).

Since the last annual change, England whitewashed Sri Lanka and Pakistan in ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, earning 55 points through the 2-0 and 3-0 series wins.

As a result, the gap between England and third-placed Australia has now increased from seven to 17 points, with the latter slumping five points in the latest update. While Australia claimed two wins in three matches against the West Indies in Barbados, they lost two matches in their tour of Pakistan.

On the other hand, Pakistan (102 rating points) moved up one spot to fifth, surpassing South Africa (99 rating points) and inching closer to arch-rivals India. Only playing nine ODIs in the last 12 months, Team India dropped to four with 105 rating points to their name.

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Afghanistan retain their positions from seventh to 10th respectively, while Ireland have moved to 11th over Scotland. Led by Andy Balbirnie, Ireland's successful tour to the Caribbean was a catalyst in the shuffle.
