While Indian players are busy in the IPL 2022, head coach Rahul Dravid on Friday (29th April) interacted with players from Northeast and plate group at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. 

Dravid, who previously served as the NCA chief, spend around 45 minutes with the players from Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. 

They are undergoing a camp under the tutelage of world-class coaches including Ashes-winning bowling coach Troy Cooley. Notably, the training camp began on 18th April and will conclude on 12th May.

A BCCI source confirmed to PTI that the Indian head coach spend around 45 minutes with the players. “It was a memorable interaction for the players. The session lasted around 45 minutes,” he said. 

VVS Laxman, who was also part of the interaction, thanked Dravid for spending time with the players from Northeast & Plate group at the NCA camp in Bengaluru.

“Many thanks to my good friend & Team India head coach Rahul Dravid for having taken the time to speak to players from the North East & Plate group attending the NCA camp in Bengaluru. I am sure the boys would have welcomed the chance to take a peek into Rahul’s mind,” VVS Laxman Tweeted.
