Arun Lal, former India opener, to marry for the second time at the age of 66

The wedding reception will be held at the Peerless Inn hotel in Kolkata on Monday.

He was previously married to Reena. As per News18 Bengali, Arun Lal still lives with his first wife though they have divorced with mutual consent. Lal has invited members of the Bengal cricket team, officials of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), and other family members and friends.

According to sources, Arun Lal and Bul Bul got engaged a month ago. The former Indian cricket star has been in a relationship with Bul Bul for a long time. It was also stated that his first wife was ill and his wife-to-be Bul Bul knows about her illness and Arun Lal is taking care of his first wife as well and is marrying with her permission.

Arun Lal played 16 Tests, making 729 runs and 16 ODIs, making 122 runs for India from 1982-1989 and made 6 half-centuries in Tests with the best score of 93, while in ODIs he made just one fifty. He played 156 FC matches, making 10421 runs with 30 centuries and the best score of 287.

In 2016, he was diagnosed with jaw cancer which has kept him out of the commentary box. But he beat the disease and took up a coaching role with the Bengal team.
