Harshal had left the IPL 2022 bio-bubble in the wake of his sister's demise. He joined the RCB camp ahead of the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) on Saturday (April 16).

After RCB’s win over DC, Harshal Patel took to Instagram and shared a moving post for his sister. He revealed that his departed sister faced incredible difficulties in life with a big smile on her face.

"Didi, you were one of the kindest and most joyful person in our lives. You faced incredible difficulties in life with a big smile on your face till your last breath. When I was with you in the hospital before I came back to India you told me to focus on my game and don’t worry about you. Those words was the only reason I could come back and take the field last night," Patel wrote.

“That’s all I could do now to remember and honour you. I will continue to do everything that made you proud of me. I will miss you every moment of my life, in good times and bad. I love you so much. Rest in peace jadi,” he further added.

While he was away from the bio-bubble, Harshal Patel missed RCB’s clash against CSK. On his return, the right-arm pacer bowled four overs and conceded 40 runs against DC.

Harshal may have failed to get a wicket, but RCB’s other two pacers Josh Hazlewood (3-28) and Mohammed Siraj (2-31) bowled brilliantly to secure a comprehensive 16-run victory over DC.
