Team India are all set to play two warm-up games against Derbyshire and Northamptonshire ahead of their limited-overs series against England later this year.
India will tour England for the white-ball series in July this year. The Rohit Sharma-led side will first play the postponed fifth Test, which was suspended last year due to rising COVID-19 cases in the Indian contingent.
The Test match will be played from 1st July while the three-match T20I series is slated to take place from 7th July to 10th July. Both teams will also play the ODI series, which is scheduled to take place from 12th July to 17th July.

However, ahead of the T20I series, the Indian cricket team will play two warm-up games versus Derbyshire and Northamptonshire. The two games will be played on July 1 and 3 at Incora County Ground and County Ground in Northampton respectively. The matches will also clash with the postponed Test matches and two Indian teams will be seen in action.
Derbyshire and Northamptonshire confirmed the same by releasing official statements.
“India will travel to The Incora County Ground to face Derbyshire in a Twenty20 Tour Fixture on Friday 1 July (7pm start). The number-one ranked T20 side in the world will continue their ICC Twenty20 World Cup preparations against a Derbyshire side,” Derbyshire stated on their official website.
“Northamptonshire will welcome India to Wantage Road this summer for a one-off T20 tour match,” Northamptonshire wrote.
Ahead of the England series, India will also play two T20Is against Ireland on June 26 and 28, respectively.
