Veteran commentator Harsha Bhogle became a trending topic on Thursday (March 24) after a video of him started doing rounds on social media.

Harsha was involved in an Instagram live session which came to an unexpected halt and comments like "Kya hua? Kaun hai? Kaha se aa gaye? (What happened? Who are you? Where did you come from?)" were heard.

The visuals left the fans extremely disturbed as many thought that something unforeseen has happened with Harsha.

The anchor too was taken aback by Bhogle's actions and said "Harsha sir, I think you dropped your phone", before the video feed vanished.

As soon as the video went viral, Harsha started trending on Twitter with fans expressing concerns over his wellbeing.

After some time, Harsha Bhogle issued a clarification about the "viral" incident, informing everyone that he is fine and thanking supporters for their "love and concern".

"I am fine. Sorry to have got a lot of you worried. Thank you for the love and concern. It became more viral than I anticipated. That too is a learning. It was meant to lead to something else. Sorry. And cheers," he tweeted.

Bhogle admitted that the turn of events left him embarrassed, hinting that his disappearing from Instagram Live was pre-planned.

"You learn something new every day. It seemed a lighthearted thing to do but in its execution, it became something that I didn't think it would. I am actually a bit embarrassed now," he added.

Harsha Bhogle is widely regarded as one of the finest cricket commentators in the world. He is part of the commentary panel for the upcoming IPL 2022 season, starting March 26.
