PAK v AUS 2022: Pakistan name squad for ODIs and T20I; Sarfaraz Ahmed, Imad Wasim dropped

ODI series will be played from 29th March to 2nd April while T20I will be played on 5th April.

Pakistan has named their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series and one-off T20I against Australia. 

After the conclusion of the ongoing Test series between Pakistan and Australia, they will cross swords with each other in three ODIs and one-off T20I. 

The ODI series will be played from 29th March to 2nd April whereas the T20I is scheduled to take place on 5th April. All the games will be played in Rawalpindi.

Wicketkeeper batter Sarfaraz Khan along with all-rounder Imad Wasim have been dropped from the squad, while hile the uncapped duo of Asif Afridi and Mohammad Haris has been named in the team for ODIs and T20I. The youngsters performed reasonably well in the recently concluded PSL 2022 and were rewarded for their performances. 

Shadab Khan and Muhammad Nawaz, who were out of action due to injuries, are back in the side. The likes of Abdullah Shafique, Imam-Ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel have found their place in the ODI squad but have failed to make cut into the 17-member T20I squad. 

The team will be led by Babar Azam with Shadab Khan being named as his deputy. The rest of the squad is filled with similar faces.
