Wriddhiman Saha speaks to BCCI's three-member committee over unnamed journalist saga

Wriddhiman Saha was recently threatened by an unnamed journalist for an interview.

Senior Indian wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha on Saturday (5th March) said that he has spoken to BCCI’s Probe Panel related to the controversy involving an unnamed journalist, who threatened him for an interview. 

After Saha was dropped from the squad for the ongoing Sri Lanka Test series, an unnamed journalist wanted to interview him over the BCCI’s decision to not consider him in future. But when he didn’t respond, the said person threatened him. 

Saha then took to his official Twitter account and shared the screenshots of the WhatsApp chat with the journalist. After the incident, many fans and pundits came out in support of the wicketkeeper-batter and even BCCI initiated a probe into the matter.

On Saturday, BCCI’s three-member committee met Saha and probed into his allegations against the unnamed journalist. Although the wicketkeeper-batter didn't reveal the entire converstion with governing body, but confirmed that he has addressed the whole incident. 

Speaking to reporters, Wriddhiman Saha said: "I have told the committee everything I know. I have shared all the details with them. I can't tell you much right now. BCCI has asked me not to talk about the meeting outside as they will answer all your queries," Wriddhiman Saha said. 

Notably, Saha recently also opened up on the conversation with Rahul Dravid. He revealed that the Indian head coach had told him that it is unlikely he would be considered for selection going forward and he is free to take a decision on his career.
