Ranji Trophy 2022: WATCH - Sreesanth celebrates his 1st wicket in First-Class cricket after 9 years

Sreesanth gave his "Pranaam" to the cricket pitch after taking the wicket.

Sreesanth | TwitterHe may have gone unsold at the IPL 2022 mega-auction, but Kerala pacer Sreesanth is making his presence felt in the domestic circuit.

Sreesanth claimed his first wicket in Ranji Trophy after nine long years in the Ranji Trophy clash against Meghalaya last month.

After getting rid of Aryan Bora, the 39-year-old fast bowler gave his "Pranaam" to the cricket pitch. He returned with figures of 2 for 40 in his 11.5 overs in the first innings but failed to get a scalp in the second essay as Kerala thrashed Meghalaya by an innings and 166 runs in that match.

Taking to Twitter, Sreesanth on Wednesday (March 2) shared the video of his wicket and captioned it as: “Now that’s my 1st wicket after 9 long years..gods grace I was just over joyed and giving my Pranaam to the wicket .. #grateful #cricket #ketalacricket #bcci #india #Priceless.”

After Kerala’s first game, Sreesanth got injured during a practice session and didn’t feature in the match against Gujarat. The veteran paceman isn’t participating in Kerala’s third game against Madhya Pradesh as well, which started on March 3 in Rajkot.

Sreesanth had made his comeback to competitive cricket in January last year, after serving a seven-year ban for his alleged role in IPL 2013 spot-fixing scandal.
