CWC 2022: Kohli, Pant and Shaw show their support to India women ahead of their clash against Pakistan

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli, wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw showed their support to the women’s team ahead of their ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 campaign. The tournament will begin on 4th March with the final to be played on 3rd April in Christchurch. 

The Indian team will kick-start their campaign in a high octane clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on 6th March at Bay Oval, Tauranga. They will next face hosts New Zealand on 10th March followed by West Indies on 12th March at Seddon Park, Hamilton. 

The Mithali Raj-led side then will return to Bay Oval, Tauranga to face defending champions England on 16th March. They will then shift bases to Eden Park, Auckland to face Australia on 19th March followed by the match against Bangladesh at Hamilton on 22nd March. The Indian team will play their last league match against South Africa on 27th March at Christchurch.

Ahead of their tournament opener against Pakistan on Sunday (6th March), former Indian Men’s skipper Virat Kohli urged fans to cheer for the Mithali Raj-led side in their upcoming ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 clash against arch-rivals. 

"No better time to cheer for the #WomenInBlue and show the strength of #HamaraBlueBandhan than this, 'cause it's time for the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022! Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant too showed his support for Indian women ahead of their clash against Pakistan on 6th March.

Young opener Prithvi Shaw also posted the Star Sports campaign video #HamaraBlueBandhan on his Instagram account and suported the women's team.
