Australian batter Travis Head said that playing Test cricket in the subcontinent will be a challenge but he’s not looking to chase or try something different in Asian conditions.
Australia is all set to tour Pakistan for the first time since 1998. Both the teams will face off in three Tests, three ODIs, and one-off T20I.
The first Test match will kick-start from 4th March in Rawalpindi followed by second and the third games to be played on 12th and 21st March in Karachi and Lahore respectively. The ODIs will be played from 29th March to 2nd April while the T20I is scheduled to take place on 5th April.

Australia recently announced the squad for the Test series. The visitors would be high on confidence after thumping England 4-0 in the Ashes 2021-22. Among all, Travis Head is expected to play a crucial role for his side as he has been in red hot form in recent times.
The southpaw was the highest run-scorer in the series against England with 357 runs in six innings and also scored two centuries as well. He was also awarded Player of the Series in the Ashes 2021-22.
Speaking to Cricket.com.au, Travis Head said that playing Test cricket away from home tests the player and it defines the way how the player responds to the challenge of traveling.
"Test cricket away from home is where you're truly tested, and having done that in England and finding just how difficult it can be ... it's the way you respond to the challenge of traveling that probably makes you the cricketer you are," Travis Head said.

Head cited the example of Steve Smith, Micheal Clarke, and Matthew Hayden and said that these players have dominated in the subcontinent and have raised the team to a whole new level.
"You look at someone like Smithy (Steve Smith) who goes to India and plays as well as he has anywhere, and then there are players from the past like (ex-Australia pair) Michael Clarke and Matthew Hayden who go on tours and just dominate. It raises them to a whole new level," he said.
Travis Head further said that playing in the subcontinent will be a challenge but he will not try to chase it. He revealed that he has good sound game plans and talking to experienced guys will help him to prepare himself.
“That's obviously the challenge, but I'm not trying to chase that challenge or do something that I know I'm not capable of doing. I'll have a really good, sound game plan, talk to the coaches, talk to the experienced guys who maybe know the conditions a bit more and try and lean into as much knowledge as I can to prepare myself," he concluded.
Australia is also slated to tour India later this year. The visitors will play four Tests and three T20Is on their tour to the Asian giant.
