India lifted a record fifth U19 World Cup title after defeating England in the final at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium on Saturday (February 5). They chased down the 190-run target with only 14 balls to spare and 4 wickets in hand.

It was Raj Bawa's all-round performance that helped India dominate the majority of the phases in the summit clash. His cousin and India's ex-cricketer Reetinder Sodhi congratulated the youngster on social media.

The 19-year-old earned himself the Player of the Match award in the final match after he picked up a fifer and then scored 54-ball 35 in the tricky run-chase.

22 years back in the 2000 ICC Under-19 WC final, where India beat Sri Lanka to lift the trophy, Sodhi was named Player of the Match for his unbeaten 43-ball 39 runs knock while chasing 179 runs.

“It’s a great feeling when your Chacha’s Son do what you did 22 years back. So Man of the Match of two World Cup Finals in one family #Under19WorldCup," he wrote on Twitter.

Sodhi played 18 ODI matches for India and scored 280 runs with an average of 25.45. He also picked up five wickets, with his best bowling figure being 2/31. His last appearance for India came in 2002 at Jodhpur in an ODI match against West Indies.
