India defeated England in the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup 2022 by 4 wickets to lift the trophy on Saturday (February 5). India became the only team to have won the title five times, having won earlier in 2000, 2008, 2012, and 2018.

After India U19's win, former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer took a jibe at ex-England captain Michael Vaughan on Twitter. The two have banter on social media regularly now, leaving no opportunity to roast each other.

"Finalists 2016 Champions 2018 Finalists 2020Champions 2022. Some things never change eh @MichaelVaughan #U19CWC," Jaffer wrote posting a meme featuring Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan from his film Mohabbatein.

The "some things never change" in Jaffer's tweet was a jibe at Vaughan's recent post in which he had trolled the former Indian batter for getting out on a duck in the Legends League Cricket 2022.

Vaughan responded to Jaffer's tweet after India U19's win and joked about India's senior team not winning an ICC title lately. India's senior team last won an ICC trophy in the 2013 Champions Trophy.

"Well done Wasim !! Maybe it will rub onto your main team !!!," posted the Englishman on Twitter.

Jaffer, never one to back off, continued the banter with another potshot at England's not so good record in ICC events.

Indian bowlers showed a great performance to bowl out England on 189 runs. Raj Bawa (5 wickets) and Ravi Kumar (4 wickets) didn't let England top order post a high score. In reply, India chased down the target with 14 balls left, after losing 6 wickets.
