No Indian player in ICC Men's ODI team of 2021; Babar Azam named as captain

Apart from India, there are no players from Australia and England cricket team as well.

No Indian cricketer made it to the ICC Men's ODI team of 2021, while there are two players from Pakistan, two from Sri Lanka, and three players from Bangladesh. 

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been named as the captain of the ODI team of the year. He played only 6 matches in 2021, but still managed to score 405 runs at an average of 67.50 with two centuries and a half-century.

Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman is also in the eleven as he scored 365 runs with an average of 60.83 and a strike rate of 91.94. He has two hundreds in six innings with the highest score of 193 runs. 

Zaman's remarkable knock came against South Africa in Johannesburg, but unfortunately, Pakistan lost that match by 17 runs. The highest individual score in ODIs in a losing cause is from former Zimbabwe batter Charles Coventry (194*).

From Sri Lanka, Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera featured in the Men's ODI team of 2021. Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, batter Mushiqur Rahim, and pacer Mustafizur Rahman also got included in the side.

Apart from India, there are also no England and Australian players in the team of the year. A couple of players from Ireland -- Paul Stirling and Simi Singh -- made it to the team, along with South Africa's Janneman Malan and Rassie van der Dussen.
