The upcoming limited-overs series between India and West Indies is likely to be played across two venues – Kolkata and Ahmedabad due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

The COVID-19 surge continues to sweep across India, as the country reported 3,17,532 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, breaching the 3 lakh mark for the first time in eight months.

Considering the COVID situation in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Tours, Fixtures, and Technical Committee has proposed the idea to stage six white-ball matches in Kolkata and Ahmedabad as the BCCI will now take the final call on the matter.
