The 5-Test match Ashes 2021-22 series concluded on Sunday with Pat Cummins' Australian side clinching a 4-0 win against Joe Root led England. However, the series was in question after the 1st Test because of the COVID-19 restrictions in Australia.

But the England team arrived in Australia and the series was smoothly conducted, except for the change in venue for the final Test.

Australian batter, Marnus Labuschagne took note of the same and thanked Joe Root and England cricket team for making the series possible.

He tweeted: "Thanks to @root66 and the @englandcricket team, staff and families for coming out and making this Ashes series possible. It's not easy being away from home at the best of times, let alone in and out of bubbles, so thanks again & safe travels home."

Australian cricket team showed an all-round performance with the bat and ball against England during 2021-22 Ashes campaign. Labuschagne was Australia’s second-highest run-scorer scoring 335, just behind Travis Head who scored 357 runs in 4 Tests that included 2 centuries.

Pat Cummins marked his first series win as Australia’s Test skipper with 21 wickets, most by any player in the series.
