Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, in his “wildest dreams” didn’t imagine that the Australians will win the 5th and the final Ashes against England in Hobart on Sunday. Both Green and Scott Boland took 3 wickets each in the second innings of the final Test at the Blundstone Arena.

Set 271 runs to win, England collapsed from 68/0 to 124 all out and lost the match by 146 runs, losing the Ashes 2021-22 by 146 runs, ending a dismal performance by Joe Root and his men. England had lost the first Test in Brisbane by 9 wickets, the second Test in Adelaide by 275 runs, the third Test in Melbourne by an innings and 14 runs, before hanging onto a draw in Sydney by one wicket in hand.

"Probably not in my wildest dreams I thought this could happen today. It is pretty special and I will look back when it starts to sink in, in the next couple of days. It was good fun out there, good to help the team out and so good to get the job done. You've watched Ashes cricket your whole life, you are overwhelmed initially, as you get to the back end, you get used to it," Green said after the win in the post-match presentation.

Green also praised their skipper Cummins who was in tremendous form during the 2021-22 Ashes.

"He's been unreal, he's so calm in the middle even when the openers were going well. It is always nice to spend some time in the middle and hopefully, it continues," said Green.

Australia secured a 4-0 series win in the 5 match Ashes series. Australian skipper Pat Cummins also took 3 wickets in the 2nd innings as the hosts displayed a perfect bowling performance on the field.
