U19 CWC 2022: Harnoor Singh’s ton helps India beat Australia in warm-up game

The U19 World Cup 2022 will get underway in West Indies from January 15.

India U19 team | TwitterIndian U19 team defeated Australia’s U19 unit in the warmup match of the ongoing ICC U19 World Cup being played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on January 12, 2022.

India captain Yash Dhull won the toss and chose to bowl first. Australia captain Cooper Connelly made 117 and thanks to contributions from Aidan Cahill (27), Tobias Snell (35), and William Salzmann (25), the team posted 268 in 49.2 overs.

Ravi Kumar picked 4/34, while Rajvardhan Hangargekar picked 3/53 for the Indian U19 team.

India in their chase, saw Harnoor Singh slamming 100 in 108 balls with 16 fours before retiring hurt. Shaikh Rasheed made 72 with 6 fours and 1 six, while captain Dhull remained unbeaten on 50 as India won the match in 47.3 overs with 9 wickets in hand.
