Sachin Tendulkar unveils his all-time best XI; leaves out Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni

Tendulkar picked four Indians in his XI.

Sourav Ganguly and Virender Sehwag | TwitterConsidered to be the god of cricket for Indian fans, Sachin Tendulkar astonished everyone after his all-time best XI was unveiled and he left out two of the most influential players of the modern era Indian team in MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.

Tendulkar – as per an article on ZeeNews.com – named his all-time XI which featured four Indian cricketers.

Sachin Tendulkar, who played 200 Tests, 463 ODIs, and one T20I for India from 1989-2013, named Virender Sehwag, Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, and, Harbhajan Singh in his all-time best XI. Apart from the obvious names of Dhoni and Kohli missing from his XI, Tendulkar also omitted Anil Kumble and Yuvraj Singh’s names.

Harbhajan Singh and Sunil Gavaskar | TwitterTendulkar opted for Sehwag and Gavaskar as his openers, while having West Indian great Brian Lara at No 3. Sir Viv Richards was picked at no.4. He then went for South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis, Sourav Ganguly, and Australia’s Adam Gilchrist in his middle order with Gilchrist keeping wickets.

Shane Warne and Harbhajan Singh were the two spinners he picked in his best XI, while Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram were the two fast bowlers in Sachin Tendulkar’s all-time best XI.
