Former Indian skipper and Sachin Tendulkar's longtime teammate, Sourav Ganguly is excitedly waiting for the release of the Master Blaster's biopic 'Sachin: A Billion Dreams', which is scheduled to hit the theaters on Friday.
While talking to India Today, Ganguly said, "Yes I am (excited). I have seen him closely so I will know a whole lot of things. But what I am really keen to know is what made him Sachin Tendulkar. And I think that the world will want to see that."
Sachin's biopic will showcase his journey from a shy teenager to the most-loved Indian cricketer. For a period of 24 years, Tendulkar carried a load of a nation every time he walked out on the field.
During the dreamlike career, Tendulkar broke a plethora of records which included the first ODI double hundred by a male cricketer, most Test runs, most ODI hundreds, 100 international centuries and 200 Test matches.

Talking about the Tendulkar's career, Ganguly said, "I have always believed that you cannot make Sachin Tendulkar's or the Diego Maradona's, even if you get to 50-60% of their abilities, you will do a lot of good to yourself as a cricketer. So, the world needs to see what goes behind making a Sachin Tendulkar. We have seen all the runs, the wickets, and the hundreds. It will be a remarkable opportunity for everyone."
Before leaving for the ICC Champions Trophy in England, Team India treated to a special screening of Tendulkar's biography in Mumbai. The grand premiere of the biopic took place in a theatre in Versova.
The Indian cricketers were seen cheering for Tendulkar at the red carpet and were looking excited to watch the movie.
