BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata after being tested positive for COVID-19.
Ganguly may have been double vaccinated but he has been on the road lately, taking part in professional activities as BCCI chief.
The 49-year-old was rushed to a hospital late on Monday (December 27) night as a precautionary measure after his RT-PCR test report came positive.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Ganguly’s elder brother Snehasish confirmed that the former India captain is stable.
“Sourav is stable. He underwent angioplasty earlier this year. So as precautionary measure he has been admitted to Woodlands,” Snehasish said.
Earlier this year, Sourav Ganguly was admitted to hospital twice and underwent emergency angioplasty after facing some cardiac issues.
