Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh hasn’t denied thoughts of joining politics, but said that he would like to put in a lot of thought before taking a final decision on the move.

Recently, former Indian cricketer and chief of Congress' Punjab unit, Navjot Singh Sidhu, shared a picture with Harbhajan on Twitter and captioned it "a picture loaded with possibilities" – which led to speculation of the spinner joining the party. However, Harbhajan didn’t comment on it.

Harbhajan told PTI about his future plans: “Frankly speaking, I don't know what's in store for me. I just want a couple of days to figure out in which direction I would like to move.”

He continued, "Yes, I want to give back to society. If I join politics, how and in what form, I need to figure those things out as my main aim is to help people if I at all take the plunge.”

However, the former cricketer insisted that he would always be associated with the game. He added, “As far as cricket is concerned, I will remain associated with the game. I am open to coaching, mentoring IPL sides, maybe playing a bit of veteran's cricket.”

Harbhajan also revealed that he has almost completed his autobiography and it will be hitting the stands in the next six months. He signed off by saying, “Oh yes, I have nearly completed my autobiography. It will be out in the next six months and it's my tell-all story as to how I saw Indian cricket as an insider. I hope people love that book as much as they loved me.”
