Former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt has come hard against India's all-rounder Hardik Pandya for his fitness. Hardik hasn't been able to fully recover from his back injury which didn't allow him to bowl for his IPL team Mumbai Indians, as well as, Team India.

Hardik was kept away from bowling in three of the five T20 World Cup matches. He bowled only against New Zealand and Afghanistan in the group stage matches for India.

Butt lashed out at the all-rounder and called his body 'weak' which cannot survive playing even a single format. Speaking on his Youtube Channel, he said, "Hardik Pandya's body is so weak that he can't even survive in a single format. He needs to put on some muscle by weight training and proper diet.

"Ravi Shastri recently said Pandya should go back and work hard so that he is able to bowl 4 overs. That means he can't even bowl 4 overs properly at the moment."

Hardik is currently working on his fitness before returning to international cricket. He didn't play the T20I series against New Zealand at home which India won by 3-0.

According to the reports of ESPNcricinfo, the 28-year-old has asked the Indian selection committee not to consider him for selection as he is working on his overall fitness and is eyeing a return to full-time bowling.
