Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer while talking about his experience of coaching West Indian batter Chris Gayle said that there’s not much he can teach him but can help him up his social media game.

Wasim Jaffer is well known for his witty social media personality. The former Indian cricketer has left many people in splits with his memes.

It’s fair to say that Jaffer has a great sense of humour and has memes ready for every situation. He’s often seen getting engaged in banters with former cricketers and fans on social media and even trolls them.

In a recent chat on Rario, a digital platform for cricket fans, Wasim Jaffer talked about his online activities, saying that social media has given him chance to explore his fun side.

"I have always been a serious player on the field, and I am an introvert by nature as well. But social media has given me a chance to explore my fun side and hopefully make people laugh in the process,” Wasim Jaffer said.

When asked about his experience of coaching Chris Gayle in IPL for the Punjab Kings, Wasim Jaffer said that there isn’t much he can teach the West Indian batter about T20 batting as he’s a legendary player.

He then hilarious added that he can teach Chris Gayle about upping his social media game and for that he will have to show him Indian movies so that he create funny memes.

"There isn't much about T20 batting that I can teach him, he is a legendary player. I can only teach him about upping his social media game, but for that, I will have to show him Indian movies so that he can also create some funny memes," he said.

Notably, Wasim Jaffer has coached Chris Gayle in IPL. While the explosive West Indian batter joined Punjab Kings in 2018, the Ranji Trophy legend joined the team as batting coach in 2019.
