India batter Virat Kohli retained his eighth spot while Mitchell Marsh and David Warner made notable gains in the latest ICC T20I batting rankings after powering Australia to their maiden T20 World Cup 2021 title.

In the bowling rankings, Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa jumped two spots to break into the top-three, overtaking England's Adil Rashid and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan.

Zampa, who occupies the third position in the rankings table, finished the T20 World Cup with 13 scalps from 7 games at an average of 12.07 while his economy rate was 5.81.

All-rounder Marsh, who smashed 77 not out off 50 balls to earn the Player-of-the-Match award in the final against New Zealand, has moved up six places to attain joint-13th position among batters.

On the other hand, Warner, who was named Player-of-the-Tournament, has advanced eight slots to 33rd position after scoring 49 and 53 in the semi-final and final respectively.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson, who played a stunning knock of 85 in the final, has gained seven spots to attain 32nd position while Devon Conway is up to three places to fourth position after scoring 46 against England in the first semi-final.

Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman has moved up eight places to 40th thanks to his 55 not out in the second semi-final against Australia while spinner Shadab Khan is up seven places to 16th position after recording the bowling figures of 4/16 in the same match.

Other bowlers to gain in the latest update include Australia pacer Josh Hazlewood, whose haul of three for 16 in the final sees him gain two places to sixth.

New Zealand speedster Trent Boult is up seven places to 14th position after taking two for 18 in the final while Pat Cummins (up 24 places to 37th) and Chris Woakes (up 21 places to 46th) have also moved up the bowlers' list.
