BAN v PAK 2021: Bangladesh names 16-member squad for Pakistan T20Is; Mushfiqur Rahim rested

Bangladesh will host Pakistan for T20I and Test series, starting 19th November.

After a horrendous campaign in ICC T20 World Cup 2021, Bangladesh will host Pakistan for the 3-match T20I series and 2 Tests, and on Tuesday (16th November), announced a 16-man squad for the T20Is. 

The T20Is will be played from 19th November to 22nd November, while the Tests will be played from 26th November to 4th December. Veteran Mushfiqur Rahim has been rested for the three-match T20I series against Pakistan, which will be played in Dhaka.

While Shakib Al Hasan and Mohammad Saifuddin are out with the injures, the likes of Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, and Rubel Hossain have been dropped from the squad. 

U-19 World Cup-winning skipper Akbar Ali got his maiden call up for the senior team while Saif Hassan, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Aminul Islam Biplob, and pacer Shohidul Islam have been named in the squad. 

Mahmudullah will captain the 16-member squad while Mohammad Naim, Mahedi Hasan, Afif Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, and Nasum Ahmed have retained their place in the squad.
