"Absolutely the right man for the job!" VVS Laxman wishes Rahul Dravid on becoming new India head coach

VVS Laxman congratulated his former teammate Rahul Dravid for being appointed as the new head coach of Team India, saying that there’s no better person than him for the job. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday (3rd November) officially confirmed the appointment of Rahul Dravid as the new head coach of the Indian team. The former Indian player will take charge from the home series against New Zealand, which will begin from 17th November. 

With Rahul Dravid being appointed as the new head coach, many fans and former cricketers expressed their delight and sent warm wishes to the former Indian skipper.

VVS Laxman also wished his former teammate for being appointed as the head coach, saying that Dravid is the right man for the job as he has been a great servant of Indian cricket 

“Absolutely the right man for the job! Rahul Dravid has been a great servant of Indian cricket. As he takes guard for a fresh innings as the head coach, i am sure he will take the team onward and upward. Best wishes to my partner in many an enjoyable stand!!” Rahul Dravid Tweeted. 

Rahul Dravid will take over the coaching duties from Ravi Shastri, whose tenure will end after the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
