Morgan captained England to their maiden World Cup win in 2019 | GettyEngland captain Eoin Morgan has said that he is not certain if he will be part of the team's title defense at the 50-overs World Cup in 2023 to be played in India. However, he said that he will play in the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in Australia.

Morgan will lead England at this year's T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, with the team set to take on defending champions West Indies in their tournament opener on Saturday in Dubai.

England won the 2019 World Cup at home for the first time ever under Morgan’s captaincy and the next World Cup will be played in India in 2023.

T20 World Cup 2021: Nasser Hussain says India aren't clear favorites; knockout stage still a concern

"I certainly see myself this time next year playing, hopefully, a really strong role in another T20 World Cup. That is the expectation I have put on myself. I am not sure about another two (tournaments). Obviously, results determine how well you do and how often you are kept on. But certainly, my hunger and determination are as strong as ever,” Morgan told the BBC on Thursday.

Morgan has played 243 one-day and 102 T20 matches for England, having made his international debut for Ireland.
