"Till yesterday news reports were saying Rahul Dravid was going to stay at the NCA. Yet early morning news broke of him becoming India coach. So what happened around midnight? My best guess is Lord Shardul blew candles on his birthday cake wishing to be coached by Rahul bhai.” Wasim Jaffer Tweeted.

Notably, Shardul Thakur celebrated his 30th birthday in the Chennai Super Kings camp. His birthday celebrations were doubled as his team also won the IPL 2021.

Rahul Dravid coached Team India when they toured Sri Lanka earlier this year. If he becomes the next head coach then it will be a massive boost for Team India considering his vast experience and knowledge of the game.
