India will reportedly host four teams namely New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka and South Africa from November 17 to June 19 next year. In between, Virat Kohli and his men will also travel to South Africa in December-January.

As per the report, Kanpur and Mumbai are proposed as venues for the Test matches versus New Zealand while Bengaluru and Mohali are likely to be awarded Test matches against Sri Lanka in February-March 2022. Both the series, with two Tests each, are part of the second WTC cycle.

Interestingly, Team India will play five T20Is against South Africa in June next year, a series that could be marred by the monsoon.

During its apex council meeting, the BCCI will also have to weigh up the possible implications of the COVID-19 outbreak. The proposed fixtures have been outlined keeping in mind the relaxations continuing over the next six months.

Moreover, BCCI’s apex council will reportedly finalise the hike in match fees for domestic cricketers and the compensation package for the people associated with domestic cricket for a shortened 2020-21 season.
