Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently took a good-natured jibe at former cricketer Aakash Chopra’s statement on Twitter. Aakash Chopra was listing out some trends that he saw in the first half of the IPL 2021.
Chopra has been analyzing and predicting trends ahead of the resumption of the IPL 2021 which begins on September 19 in the UAE. Keeping up with his predictions, Chopra took to Twitter and listed out some peculiar aspects that he noticed in the first 30 games of the IPL 2021.

“Picked a few trends from the first 30 games of #IPL2020 I think most will be valid this time too. 1. Win the toss-bat first 2. Pick genuine pace over medium-pacers 3. Bat cautiously in the PP overs 4. Faster spinners likely to make an impact. Agree?” Chopra tweeted.
To this Yuzvendra Chahal replied while showing mock hurt, “Faster spinner bhaiya? ????????#justkidding”
However, Aakash Chopra replied in kind and said that his findings didn’t apply to the leggie and Chahal will pick wickets even if he bowled left-handed.
“For lesser mortals. Doesn’t apply to you, my brother. You will pick wickets even if you bowled left-arm leg-spin,” Chopra said.
Recently, Chahal was not included in the 15-member Indian squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 and was not named in the three reserve players as well. During a press meet on September 9, BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma revealed the reason behind Chahal’s exclusion from the T20 World Cup squad.
“We had a discussion over Yuzvendra Chahal and the selectors thought was we need a bowler, who can bowl fast, and as we have recently seen Rahul Chahar bowling, the speed that he bowls with, the selectors thought that we need such a player, who can on those wickets, can hold and more speed, and so, there was a lot of discussion about Chahal, but we zeroed on Rahul Chahar,” he said.
