The southpaw amassed 153 runs at a healthy strike rate of 121.42, which included an unbeaten 59 off 46 deliveries in the final match in Colombo that his side won by 10 wickets.

India skipper Virat Kohli has advanced to the fourth spot while KL Rahul has retained his sixth position.

Aiden Markram was another Proteas player who leapfrogged in the latest rankings, climbing 12 spots to become the 11th ranked batter in T20Is.

Kusal Perera was one of the few bright spots in the series for Sri Lanka. Back after recovering from a shoulder injury, the left-hander made an instant impact upon his return, scoring 69 runs in two matches and jumped 10 spots to No.39.

In the bowlers' rankings, Bjorn Fortuin, the top wicket-taker of the series, has made significant strides, jumping 103 places to break into the top 50.

New Zealand skipper Tom Latham and Finn Allen both reached career-high rankings, finishing 44th and 66th respectively. Bangladesh's Mohammad Naim and Mahmud Ullah too climbed three spots each to No.24 and No.29 respectively.

In the bowling chart, Mustafizur Rahman advanced two spots to No.8 after a brilliant four-for in the fourth T20I. Nasum Ahmed bagged a four-wicket haul in the same game which saw him gain 25 places to attain 15th position.

Bangladesh skipper Mahmud Ullah's stunning display with the bat in the last two T20Is has helped him break into the top 10 of T20I all-rounders rankings, tied with Kenya's Collins Obuya at No.10 with 130 rating points. Shakib Al Hasan, who was rested for the final game, dropped a place to No.2 which took Mohammad Nabi to the top of the rankings for all-rounders.
