India to play six white-ball games as ECB announces England men’s team fixtures for 2022 home summer

England will host New Zealand, India and South Africa in the 2022 home season.

England will play India in three T20Is and ODIs each | GettyEngland and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Wednesday (September 8) announced the complete fixtures for the 2022 home season.

The full itinerary includes international cricket every month from June to September. England will host New Zealand, India and South Africa next summer.

England men’s team will begin their 2022 home summer on June 2 with a three-match Test series against the inaugural WTC winner New Zealand. They will then move to white-ball cricket, playing India in three T20Is and as many ODIs from July 1 to July 14.

South Africa’s tour to England includes three ODIs, T20I and Tests each. It will start on July 19 and concluded on September 12.

ECB Chief Executive Officer, Tom Harrison, said: “It has been a scintillating summer of cricket and so good to see crowds back packing out venues later this summer. For next summer, I am pleased to be able to confirm three high-quality men’s international touring teams for 2022, starting with a three-Test LV= Insurance Series against World Test champions New Zealand.

“We also look forward to India returning for two white-ball series before we host South Africa for what promises to be hard-fought series across three formats, including three LV= Insurance Test Matches.”
