We both thought each other was arrogant- Bumrah on relationship with wife Sanjana

The right-arm pacer opened up about where it started from and how it blossomed over time.

Bumrah who tied the knot with sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on March 14 in Goa, talked about how their first impressions were not good, and at first, both of them thought that the other person was arrogant.

I had obviously seen her a lot of times but we had the same problem with each other. She thought I was really arrogant, I thought she was really arrogant so we never really spoke. I spoke to her for the first time during the 2019 World Cup when she was here covering the event,” the right-arm quick said.

We became friends and started talking a lot. It's been good, we have been married for five months now, so yeah very happy. She understands the sport, she understands what the player goes through, so whenever things don't go well or go well, we have a lot of interesting conversations, that really helps me,” he added.

The cricketer then pointed out that he is extremely happy with how their relationship has turned out to be as his wife understands what a player goes through.

The India pacer who represents Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) then revealed how having his wife along with him on tours has helped him switch off after games and focus on different things.

And, obviously, playing cricket and traveling all the time, you've got your wife with you now, so, you really have to focus on other things as well. You can switch off after the game. All these factors are really helpful and I'm really happy how this relationship has developed,” he concluded.
