Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board announced its 22-member squad for the upcoming limited-overs series against South Africa at home. The two teams will play three ODIs and three T20I matches, with all to be played at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Dasun Shanaka remains the captain of the Sri Lanka team which also sees the return of Kusal Perera into the team who recovered from the shoulder injury he suffered in England and then also from COVID-19 which he contracted ahead of the home series against India.

Also returning to the Sri Lankan limited-overs team was Dinesh Chandimal who last played against West Indies in March this year.
The three ODIs will be played on September 2, 4, and 7, while the three T20I matches will be played on September 10, 12, and 14.
