Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand has decided to retire from Indian cricket and move on to the next chapter of his life. Chand was the captain of the Indian U19 team which won the Youth World Cup in 2012 in Australia.
He posted a long note on his social media in which he confirmed that he is retiring from Indian cricket but is open to taking opportunities around the world.
Chand had made his Delhi debut in Ranji Trophy in 2010 and made a name for himself in domestic cricket until he became a household name after leading India U19 to the World Cup win scoring an unbeaten century in the final with 6 sixes and 7 fours.

From there Unmukt's heroics in domestic cricket and for India A saw him making it to the 30-member squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2013. He also made it to the 30-member for the 2014 T20 World Cup but couldn't earn an India call-up.
He made his IPL debut for Delhi Capitals in 2013 and also played for Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians, but was unsuccessful in cementing his place in either of the franchise teams.
Chand ends his India domestic career with 3379 runs in 67 FC matches with 8 centuries at an average of 31.57 and the highest score of 151. He also played 120 List-A matches, making 4505 runs at an average of 127 with 7 centuries and the best score of 127.
In 77 T20 matches, Chand made 1565 runs with 3 centuries and a strike rate of 116.09, and the best score of 125.
