Team India lost the recent three-match T20I series to Sri Lanka 1-2 after their 7-wicket loss in the 3rd T20I match on July 29 in Colombo. Indian batsmen failed to come to terms with a tough slow and low pitch in both the last two T20I matches.
Many of the experts and fans observed that Indian batsmen have quite a low strike rate in T20I matches. Someone experienced like Shikhar Dhawan has a T20I strike rate of 126.36. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma maintain strike rates in the higher 130s, while some of the finishers like Hardik Pandya boast of a strike rate of 145 plus.
While sharing his opinion on the same, Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter and pointed out the strike rate of none other than MS Dhoni in T20Is for India. In 98 T20Is for India since 2006-2019, MS Dhoni made 1617 runs with 2 half-centuries at an average of 37.60 and a strike rate of 126.13.

Adding to that, Mohammad Kaif pointed out, despite this low strike rate, MS Dhoni knew how to build an innings where he would start steadily, single out a bowler or two in middle overs and then blast off in the death overs.
“A small factoid for Strike-Rate obsessed players and experts. The greatest finisher, Dhoni has a T20I strike rate of 126. There was a science to his magic, he knew how to build an inning. Dhoni would start steadily, pick his bowler in the middle overs and blast off at the death,” Kaif tweeted.
