Junaid Khan says, if you want to be groomed on handling pressure, play against India

Since the two neighboring countries have not played a bilateral series since 2012-13, whenever they meet in the ICC tournaments, the match is always highly anticipated.

The Pakistan pacer Junaid Khan talked about the importance of having India vs Pakistan cricket matches as he believes these encounters help youngsters of both teams to learn how to handle pressure situations.

If you want to be groomed on handling pressure, play against India. The pressure is so much on both teams, the atmosphere is awesome. I do think there has to be cricket played between the two nations regularly,Khan told Cricket Pakistan.

But looking at the circumstances, I don't think it is going to happen anytime soon,” he added.

Pakistan toured India for the last time back in 2012-13 when they defeated the hosts 2-1 in the three-match ODI series and tied the T20I series 1-1. The left-arm pacer was the star performer from the touring side as he picked 8 wickets in the ODI series.

While the 31-year-old was recalling his experience of playing against India in India, he talked about how this tour helped him to grow as a bowler, and thus the pacer feels both nations should consistently play against each other so that the players could benefit.

When I toured India in 2012-13, I learnt a lot. I understand how to handle pressure. So, if India and Pakistan play matches against each other, people from both countries will be equally happy,” the quick bowler signed off.

The left-arm quick from Swabi has represented Pakistan in 22 Tests, 76 ODIs, and 9 T20Is with 189 wickets to his name across formats.
