Cricket West Indies (CWI) named the 13-member squad for the second Test match against South Africa which saw Shannon Gabriel and Darren Bravo returning after missing the first Test match.
West Indies suffered a humiliating loss against South Africa in the first match of the two-test series in St Lucia. The Kraigg Brathwaite-led side was at the receiving end of innings and 63 runs defeat.
With the second Test between the nations set to be played from 18th June at Beausejour Stadium, West Indies have recalled fast bowler Shannon Gabriel and left-handed batsman Darren Bravo to their squad for the Test match.
Cricket West Indies (CWI) lead selector Roger Harper confirmed saying that Shannon Gabriel has been declared fully fit to play while Darren Bravo brings experience to the side.

"Shannon Gabriel has been declared fully fit and as someone who was the spearhead of the attack before, he has returned to the 13-man squad. With Bravo, we have someone who is an experienced batsman and gives us a quality batting option,” Roger Harper said.
Talking about the loss in the first Test match against South Africa, Harper admitted that West Indies didn’t bat well in the match. He hoped that team will improve with the bat in the second Test match.
"The team now has to play to the standard we know we're capable of. We didn’t bat anywhere near to our potential in the first Test and we have to improve with the bat in this upcoming match,” he said.
The 13-man West Indian squad for the second Test against South Africa also saw Nkrumah Bonner out of the line-up, as he was substituted during the first Test after being struck on the helmet by Kagiso Rabada during the first innings.
Here’s the West Indies squad for the second Test match:
Kraigg Brathwaite (capt), Jermaine Blackwood (vice-capt), Darren Bravo, Roston Chase, Rahkeem Cornwall, Joshua Da Silva, Shannon Gabriel, Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Kyle Mayers, Kieran Powell, Kemar Roach, Jayden Seales
