Veteran South African spinner Imran Tahir heaped rich praise on Indian skipper Virat Kohli, describing what sets him apart from the other batsmen in world cricket. Virat Kohli is of the world’s most versatile and creative batsmen the world has ever witnessed.

The 32-year-old is breaking numerous records along the way and is the leading batsman in all three formats of the game and is also the best Test captain India has ever produced and one of the best leaders in ODIs and T20Is.

Speaking to Pakistan's Sawera Pasha on YouTube, veteran South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir lauded Virat Kohli saying that he’s always hungry to perform. He pointed out that there are many other world-class players but the Indian skipper outclasses everyone with his consistency.

"I think he hungry and always looking to perform, no matter where he is playing, whether for India or RCB. The kind of consistency Kohli produces it's very rare to see in world cricket. There are many world-class players but Kohli outclasses everyone with his consistency,”  Imran Tahir told Sawera Pasha on YouTube.

Tahir remarked that Virat Kohli always wants to look different from everyone else and that is what makes him a class apart.

“When you talk about world-class players they are all pretty much in the same class, but Kohli outclasses them because he wants to look different from everyone else and he has shown that through his performances all over the world,” he said.

Imran Tahir further said that Virat Kohli is a proper professional player who not only makes runs but also leads from the front off the field.

“Kohli trains very well and stays fit, so he is a proper professional who not only makes runs but also leads by the example off the field," he said.

Virat Kohli will captain India against New Zealand in the final of ICC World Test Championship (WTC) on 18th June at Southampton.
