Virat Kohli has 7490 runs in 91 Tests, 12169 runs in 254 Tests, 3159 runs in 90 T20Is | AFPAustralia fast bowling great Brett Lee has said that thanks to his incredible record across formats, it is hard to ignore and look past India captain Virat Kohli when talking about the modern greats of the game.

Praising the India captain's "great mindset" and "great cricket brain", Lee feels Virat Kohli is only getting better with age. Lee’s statement comes amidst the never-ending debate of who is the best batsman amongst the current generation which features the likes of Steve Smith, Joe Root, Kane Williamson, Babar Azam, and others.

"When you look at the recent greats, it is hard to look past Virat Kohli. What an incredible record he has got. He is only getting better with age. He has got a great mindset, a great cricket brain as well," Brett Lee said in an International Cricket Council (ICC) media release.

"Whichever team bowls best will win the final of WTC 2021," says Brett Lee
